No weight loss .....

Trying not to go under 1200 cals a day - my recommended is 1400. I have got to that most days, I work out three times a week - gym, cardio and resistance two hours each session, then i walk at least 2 times a week to shops 3miles.I run twice a week for 4 miles each, I have 2 one hour golf lessons and play 9 to 18 holes once a week! So fitness is not an issue, but I am losing no weight at all. I have been doing this for over two years, I am nearly 49 years old. Thank you Tracy

Hi Tracy,  Well something is definitely not quite right here, as if you have been keeping within your calorie and fat targets and doing all this exercise for 2 years you certainly should have lost weight.  So forgive me for asking some obvious questions, but are you entering absolutely everything in your diary and weighing everything too? Please don’t be offended, but many people ‘guestimate’ portion sizes and generally this leads to underestimating portion size and therefore calorie content and these calories can really add up over time.  So can calories from snacks, drinks etc that are not entered into your diary. You need to be really vigilant all the time, I’m afraid.  If you believe you are doing everything correctly and are still concerned, I suggest that you book an appointment with your local nurse or Doctor and take copies of your diet diary and exercise schedule to discuss with them. They should be able to give you further more specific advice.
