Q.

How to lose weight quicker.... Idea's please?

I've been doing your programme a while now and lost 2 and a half stones. I'm exercising everyday, I've improved my fitness by adding jogging to my workout (eating a little more but still sticking within my calorie limit) but my weight isn't shifting :-(...... one unhappy lady....................so my question to you is, what foods can/should I eat to speed up a weight loss (or kick start a weight loss again)whilst exercising also? I eat salad/fruit and vegetables on a regular basis and also like things like natural low fat yoghurt with flakes of special k cereal if I want something sweet!! Please help, I want my last 5 lbs off for the summer along with a flat/toned tummy. Thanks

Hi there,  Firstly, congratulations on losing 2½ stone! You have done so well and it is quite common for weight loss to plateau at this stage. It may be that you are close to your body’s natural ‘ideal’ weight, which of course may not be the same as your idea of your ideal weight! And this can make it really difficult to shift those last few pounds.  Anyway, enough of the negatives, because you need to stay focused and positive and keep doing all the right things that you are doing. You have obviously cracked the diet to lose so much weight, but I wonder if you have become stuck in a rut, sticking to foods and meals that you feel safe with? Your body gets used to this and it can be a good idea to try and mix things up a bit, introducing new foods, or maybe smaller meals with larger snacks in between. Grazing on 6 small meals a day, for example, is a healthy way to eat and keeps your energy levels up when you are exercising.  There is no magic food I can recommend, I’m afraid. I’d be a very rich and popular person if I knew of one! But just keep at it and you will get there. Good luck!
