Staying at home is the new normal for us, and that may mean our days are now much less active than our pre-lockdown lifestyle. We all know that we need to balance our energy in with energy out to prevent weight gain, and if lockdown has shown us one thing, it's that you don't have to tip that balance very much to end up gaining a few pounds!

But that can be easily sorted! If you know how many calories your body needs you can adjust your food intake and ensure you're doing enough exercise to create a calorie deficit and lose weight.

Tracking what you eat is actually much faster than it sounds. Use the barcode scanner in the Nutracheck App to add a food in a couple of taps. And the more you use the App, the quicker it becomes to add food, as it remembers your favourites. Try these 3 super fast ways to update your diary:

1 Fast Track – then 'Multi-Add'

Fast Track

Tap the + symbol next to a meal occasion to see the foods you've added most frequently.

To add several foods in one go, tap 'Multi-Add' (top left), make your selection – then tap 'Add' (top right).

2 Copy forward

Fast Track

If you tend to eat the same breakfast and snacks most days, this will save you time.

Once you've completed your diary, tap the food you want to add to tomorrow plus any other items, then tap 'COPY' in the bottom menu bar. Select tomorrow or set a date range.

3 Quick Add

Fast Track

This one is good if you're making a recipe that gives calories / nutrients per serving. You can add a portion to your diary without having to create the whole recipe in My Meals.

Open the App, tap the blue menu button > Quick Add. Just enter your recipe name, kcals and grams of fat (or whichever nutrient you are tracking) and add to your diary.
